You know, back before he started Microsoft, Gates was building his own computers by hand and operating out of a garage in Albuquerque, and one month he almost got evicted from the garage because he didn't have the money to pay the rent.

You bet I would have. I've been in high tech since 1980 and I certainly understood even back then that DOS was going to be an amazing breakthrough for personal computing. Remember, back then there were no desktop computers, only mainframes. This was even before the VAX, the first micro.

Hindsight is always 20-20. I thought of this very picture when I visited Microsoft's campus for the first time last September. The vision that these folks had was inspiring.
I've seen the picture before and it really is hilarious...talk about you cannot tell a book by it's cover!!! And "One picture is worth 1000 words"??? Not this one!
Who knew? No, I'm sure I wouldn't have invested...!
