Cheney - nah, he'd never play second fiddle to Palin. She's too much of a loose cannon. And he would never pick her as a running mate because she would be an even bigger drag on the ticket than in '08. Back then, she wasn't known as someone who quits a job as governor to go on the talk show circuit. Daughter never married, ex-Bristol fiance Levi's pictorial and other - uh - appearances. Neither has the power base any more. The neocons are a dying breed - just like an old bull elephant struggling off to the boneyard of the giants.
