I was really wanting to like Obama, but it seems as he's thrown his hat into the arena, the crap coming out of his mouth is startling.

Hillary = scary
Obama = far, far left winger (apparently)

The Dems better get someone good FAST. Real fast.

phoenix~ Have to disagree with you, my friend. Obama is a very *refreshing* idea and i like it!

Also, the farther left, the better, imo. BUT lots of people would disagree with you on Obama being far, far, left, especially most of my friends over here.

I'm not the least bit worried about the Dems, they seem to be getting their act together.

Obama far left? That's almost amusing. But then maybe I am too.

He almost seems too good to be true.

I do like the cut of his jib and the way he presents himself.

I was also pleased to learn that John Edwards wants to get into the race too.

Now if we Dems just don't screw things up.

So Karen I have to buy 36 t-shirts??
Love them all!!

From all these miles away Obama looks like the perfect prince.
We shall watch and see.

Happy New Year.

I like John Edwards...but Obama's own constiuents are really taking notice of their Rookie Senator, in a bad way.

What is a guy that's been a Senator for 6 months doing comparing himself to Abraham Lincoln???

There is NO comparison, as Abe taught himself law and grew up poor. Obama went to one of the most prestigious prep schools in Hawaii. I think it's a little asinine.

Like I said, I really really was hoping Obama would be my way to vote Dem once again.

The best bumper sticker I've seen around here:

The FRENCH were RIGHT!

As far as Obama, I'd prefer him to Hillary, but I've already endorsed Bill Richarson (who I fully expect to run) having watched him for twenty years and knowing for a fact that he would never start a war if there was a diplomatic option available.

Those are ALL excellent Karen!

Obama? Sorry. I just think he's a junior senator with no international experience. He's a likable guy and could certainly do a better job than bush (who couldn't?), but it's just waaay to early for him. Riding on 15 minutes of fame that was born from a 2004 DNC speech is not enough.

I like the guy...just not for president in the next circus.

jack, well said!

i think Obama has a little of JFK in him, it's the *charisma* thing.

peaches~ Happy New Year, backacha!

phoenix~ haven't heard the Abe Lincoln thing but good for him in the comparison.

one thing we know he DIDN'T DO, he didn't kill 3000 Americans with lies!

sage~ it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it! {grin}

eli~ Bill Richarson, good choice!

chuck~ you kinda summed it up for me as far as Obama goes, but if that's who the Dems choose to run, i'm behind him 150%!

fred~ Happy New Year to you, too!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY BLOGGER BUDS!
