nice picture, yes, happy days will return, but it's going to take a while to clean up Georgie Boy's mess

I have my concerns that the ramifications of W's actions will last beyond my life time

One of my colleagues and member of the "Old Bastards", made a very scary comment yesterday at or weekly coffee get-together. The fall of the American Empire will not be similar to the fall of the Roman Empire, i.e., debauchery and excesses of the flesh. Our downfall will come from ignoring the national debt. We face over a trillion dollar debt. We can't even pay all of the monthly interest. And we need another tax cut? No wonder Uncle looks so sad.

Yeah, those pre-dictator duhbya days were the good old days.

How many vetos does it take for a President to commit for the democracy to fall over?

Well, G.W. has made the world a little more crazy. But it's more than that, America was an experiment that went sour.

Sure, things will get better, but they won't look as they have in the past. Sadly, it will get worse before it gets better.

This 'democracy' was built improperly even though they had good intentions.

But really, if you had your own planet would you run it as a democracy? Wouldn't you just have about thirteen of the wisest and most spiritual people run it? Think about it. Hugs.

Ugh...these are shaky times we live in.

George W. is so ineffective. And the Dems taking control of Congress? Ineffective as well. Both sides are absolutely worthless, talking out of their political mouths.

Maybe we just need to clean the slate and start all over again.

Do we deserve to be happy?

We sat back and allowed our government to invade and destroy a sovereign nation without cause. If you are unhappy, think about what it must be like in Occupied Iraq.

Liza, I looked at your profile but there is no blog listed.

Thelma & Louise, good movie.

Do we deserve to be happy? Well, those of us that voted against Bush in two elections were trying to be.

I don't have a blog. I'm freelance or nomadic or whatever.
