We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in West Virginia and Kentucky, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Egomania, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which we do not for a moment believe, this nation or a large part of it were subjugated under the will of the people, then our Power beyond the seas, armed and guarded by Terry McAuliffe, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the Billary World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

This is an email a good friend sent me today.

There are less than eight months until the election, an election that will decide the next President of the United States . The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans. To show our solidarity as Americans, let's all get together and show each other our support for the candidate of our choice. It's time that we all came together, Democrats and Republicans alike.

If you support the policies and character of John McCain, please drive with your headlights on during the day.

If you support Obama or Hillary, please drive with your headlights off at night.

This was my response.

Clyde, I enjoyed our discussion this morning. Your intelligence and sense of humor are to be admired. Thanks for being one of the founding fathers of the Old Bastards.

Thanks for enlightening me. (Pun intended.) However, I think you got something slightly wrong. It has to do with the time of day for headlights being on or off. You got them reversed. Obama supporters are smarter than that.

I hope Condi Rice got a copy of this. chuckle, snicker, guffaw, and snerx.

That was a good response. i can't believe some of the garbage I get passed to me from brain dead Republican friends.
Karen or whoever tell me what you think of this: Obama is the man! I only hope we can keep him alive. Hillary is toast I just hope she relents soon! I think I might have mentioned this to you but what do you think about this?
First Hillary says the whites will vote for her but I think that is a crock unless she is talking about the Republican crossovers that voted for her. I do now think A Democratic Unity Ticket with Obama as president and Hillary as vice president would satisfy party factions, lower the temperature, lead to a landslide victory in November.
Obama would bring to the marriage the young, the black, and the liberal suburbanites. Hillary would attract her proven constituency of older voters, women, whites, workers and Hispanics. Hillary would bring the supposedly missing experience to the table killing that issue for Repugs.
On to victory. Yesterday I heard that Hillary wants Veep. I don’t know if Obama can handle her and Bill but that would work for me.

jack~ You Rock!

But you knew that!! :~)

diane~ ditto!

patroit~ Sorry, but I don't like the idea of Barack/Hillary ticket, no way, no how!

Here's feedback I've read from other blogs and I agree with:

The biggest things she had going for her in this primary was: (1) name-recognition. (2) Being a woman (3) being white.

Everything else about her is highly negative IMO

In all fairness, though, one has to say that if she had never married Bill, and had never been first lady, she might have been a better candidate, a better person, and a better woman. Her "experience" is her weakness.

The Dream Ticket is a NIGHTMARE! Hillary is a Neocon, folks. She voted for the war, the Kyl/Liberbman Amendment, refused to negotiate with"enemy countries", and has promised obliteration of Iran and any country that opposes us. She's taken money from major lobbyists and right wingers such as Scaife and Murdock, is in conclusion with the military/industrial complex, and husband Bill has taken lots of money from the Columbian government and other governments that do not support the best interests of the American people. What's wrong with people's heads? Clinton would negate everything Obama and the grassroots stands for.

karen I have to laugh1 I don't like it any more than Barack would but sometimes you have to do what is best not what you want. I happen to think that if Obama can tolerate Billary that it would unify the party and definitely defeat McCain unless they succeed in taking these elections out of our hands too!

I agree with Karen.
You make sense.
We out here in the real world are watching with hope.

For all our sakes...let freedom ring once again.

patriot~ Hillary stands for everything Barack is not. It would not be a good thing for her as VP. There are lots of other women who would make a more acceptable choice.

polly~ Thanks for your support!
