Tuesday, Ned Lamont defeated Senator Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut Democratic Primary. Joe says he'll run for Senate in the general election anyway, as an Independent.

Bill Clinton supported Joe Lieberman in the primary. Now, I expect him to support Ned Lamont, the Democrat, because I remember what Bill Clinton 'said' in Iowa in 2003:
"Go ahead, fall in love, be for somebody. But when the primary's over, let's fall in line and bring the White House back to our party."

Welcome back! And I've always liked Bill Clinton.
Doesn't Lieberman remind you of Yoda?
Did you ever notice that Leiberman has a stool to stand on and they always lower the mikes?
...Wonder if he plays handball against a CURBSTONE?
honestly? i don't know what i think of Lamont yet (and i live in CT) who is he? where'd he come from? i think it's sad that Leiberman got too close to Dubya (with regards to the war), but i kind of think he got a bad rap here. i don't believe his heart is in the wrong place, i really don't!
that said, it *will* be interesting to see what happens this november!
glad you're back, girlfriend! xox neva
Do we dare have hope for anyone, anything, in politics? I have lost all faith, any trust. The 13 stars would fall from the flag knowing what we have become.
Here's a good article on Lamont.
I like what I read!
I'd never heard of the guy until last week - November will be interesting.
Hope you had a nice vacation!
What's funny to me is the Republicans pounced all over Lamont's win as a boost to their fortunes. Isn't politics great?
Lieberman! Party of one!
Looks like the page I posted on Ned Lamont got removed so here is his website.
