As defined by Mahatma Gandhi:
In India when people meet and part they often say, Namaste' which means: "I honor the place within you where the entire Universe resides; I honor the place within you of love, of light, of truth, of peace; I honor the place within you, where, when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us."
I wonder if this is some payback for real or perceived behaviors by the Dems when the GOP was in the catbird seat?
I wish the kids would put aside their petty bickering and get down to business.
I also wonder if the the comment by the congressman from South Carolina is a holdover from the antebellum south? After all, during that time black people had a specific, subservient place in the scheme of things.
It is so sad that there are some who are still judging others by their skin color.
Face it kids, President Obama is an Intelligent, Articulate, Erudite man. He deserves respect even if you don't agree with his ideas.
Thanks for this opportunity to get some spleen vented. I just don't want to seem petty.

Oh, I thought it was the other way around.
So much for bi-partisanship.

Jack~ Very insightful comment and your third paragraph is spot on!
Karen - Agree with Jack.
It appears the southern politicians think Obama is a little too "uppity."
Holte~ Let's see, what were they calling him when he was a candidate... oh yeah... ELITIST!
Elitist? Now that is an interesting euphemism. Hmmmm?
