As defined by Mahatma Gandhi:
In India when people meet and part they often say, Namaste' which means: "I honor the place within you where the entire Universe resides; I honor the place within you of love, of light, of truth, of peace; I honor the place within you, where, when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us."
You know, it just bolsters my atheistic tendencies. If there was a god, Patty and Rush would be streaks of grease on the pavement right now from the bolts of lightening that hit them.
I love this country. Where else can bigoted, racists speak their minds(?) with no fear of the government stopping them?
However, the free thinking citizens can listen to what they say and make up their own minds. Consider the source and forget the remarks is one response that might be appropriate. But, I don't think so.
We need to continually behave in ways that will show them that they might want to rethink their position.
Beekeeper, I can understand your point of view. There is a possibility that if they were to really study their "good books" they might find that Hell is awaiting them. I personally don't believe that, but their next lives they may come back as someone who is on the receiving end of such vitriol and physical violence. I hesitate to think of some of the options that quickly crossed my mind.
Jack, I don't believe there is a hell awaiting anyone either, but I reserve the right to co-opt religious language and holidays to suit my own nefarious purposes! :)
We continually hear, from nearly all quarters, that we all have free speech. yes, that is true. However, their freedom to spout racism and bile of the worst kinds means we have the reciprocal freedom to respond accordingly and smack then down verbally whenever we get the chance.
Well, Karen, excuse me... I thought you were someone else... my bad. But hey, I found a great new blog to follow! :-) [I thought you were Bee] just another night without drugs. Gad.
Oh, no, Gwendolyn, this is Karen's site, not mine! Karen's got an awesome site here, and I've come over and guffawed, and been simultaneously horrified, on more than one occasion, and that is most definitely a compliment to Karen :)

For a few, the suffering of others is just another way to make money.
Good one. Those buggers need shaming.
Jerry~ Sad.
Holte~ Think it just rolls off their back, they're beyond despicable.

Karen, thanks for putting up with my ramblings.
It would be interesting to work out how many Haitian families Limbaugh could feed, assuming they didn't mind the cholesterol.
Jack~ Your 'ramblings' are thoughtful insight... I look forward to them.
Infidel~ Hopefully he would just provide the money, not the food.
