Hey Santa, Got A Light? There was a time when this was totally acceptable. They finally passed the bill here in Michigan banning smoking in bars, restaurants and all other workplaces effective May 1, 2010. We're the 39th state to do so!! It's about damn time Michigan did it... come on you remaining 11, get on board!! By the way, do you live in one of the remaining 11 smoking states?

We passed it a long time ago and it is nice to not have to deal with the smoke though I feel bad seeing people have to go out in the cold especially my wife. Put on a coat ho!
patriot~ I also feel bad for people like my daughter who has asthma and has to endure the cigarette smoke if they wish to enjoy eating out.
Let the tobacco grow industrial hemp at the very least.
I waas against it in Illinois but I'm glad it passed. Anything they say about smoking bans hurting business is nonsense. It helps the establishments that serve food for sure.
"We've come a long way baby"
Fly~ hemp, huh?
TRUTH~ At least I'll be able to enjoy my restaurant experience starting May 1st.
Jack~ yes. we. have.
The progress we've made in this area makes me hopeful that global-warming denialism will eventually fade. Remember the days of tobacco-industry-funded fake "science" denying the harmful effects of second-hand smoke on non-smokers? Don't hear much about that any more, do we?
The Santa in the picture is bearing gifts over which I would actually prefer a lump of coal.
Average patriot: Put on a coat ho!
You don't actually call her a ho when you tell her that, do you?:-)
Infidel~ ho, ho, ho!
Tobacco is a crop here in Georgia, albeit a small one, but you can't smoke in any restaurant in my county. I like the idea of those "new style" coffee shops that are opening in the north west, you can smoke, but not tobacco.
Holte~ you can smoke, but not tobacco.
You smokin' me?
